Honoring the Heroes: Explore National Parks for FREE on Veterans Day

Did you know you can visit any of the US National Parks and Monuments on Veterans Day for free? One of the many ways to honor and show appreciation for the sacrifices made by military veterans who have served our country is to visit the parks to which some Veterans inspired and contributed. Additionally, many national parks offer free admission to all visitors on Veterans Day as a way to encourage people to visit and appreciate the natural beauty and history preserved in these spaces.

Every November 11, there is a free entrance day for all visitors to most national parks and monuments in the United States. So make plans now to visit any of the amazing 400 NPS sites. For more information about honoring Veterans in the parks please visit NPS.gov.

If you are a current or former military member, please make sure you sign up for the always free NPS Military Pass. And thank you for your service.
