FAQs
Where did you purchase new RV parts?
Our RV specific replacement parts were purchased through a mix of local RV dealers and Amazon. However, nearly all of what we used can be purchased completely online now.
Everything else? Probably Lowe’s, Home Depot, or JoAnn Fabrics.
Can I have the pattern for your curtains?
Honestly, you probably don’t want it. While they work great and look great, I probably could have made them MUCH easier, but my sewing knowledge is quilt-based and I don’t own a serger.
How has everything held up?
For the most part, GREAT! The spray paint gets touched up about once a year. Otherwise everything is still going strong even up against three young boys.
Do I need to waterproof my canvas after cleaning with the the BPS Mildew Remover?
YES! Please make sure you re-waterproof the outside of your canvas after a strong cleaning. We recommend 303 Products. To make the job faster, utilize a garden sprayer.
How did you create/find a pattern for the cushion covers?
I kept the cushion covers as easy as possible, I copied what the manufacturer had already done. Using a seam ripper, I completely dismantled each cover then cut my new fabric to match 100%. I even used the same seam allowance. Doing this gave me a perfect fit for my new covers.
Where do you store your camper now?
In our garage! That is quite possibly the best part of having such a small camper, it can be kept in a garage and only takes up the same space as another car.
As pop-up camper owners, we are always looking for resources to help our little home on wheels, whether it’s cosmetic or the nitty-gritty of upkeep and repairs. One of the best resources we have found on the internet is The Pop Up Princess. Larissa and her husband have not only restored their own pop-ups beautifully, but they have also brought their readers along for amazing DIYs from roof repair to cabinet painting.
