We RVers love to buy our gadgets, accessories, and knick knacks for our home on wheels. Sometimes they’re great and sometimes they’re a flop. Of all the items we purchased this year, our favorite is hands down our new portable propane fire pit! The best part, it was extremely affordable considering you can end up paying $9/bundle at some campgrounds.
Obviously we love campfires, especially when we’re RVing, but Colorado spends most of the summer under some degree of a burn ban. This prevents us from enjoying our favorite nighttime ritual. Not to mention the Rockies can have their fair share of wacky weather - like snow in June and September. So when a burn ban occurs during cooler temperatures it can be an extra bummer.
After seeing a few other campers continuing to enjoy a nice blaze during burn bans, we decided it was time to see what the hype was all about. For real - I never could have imagined I would love a portable fire pit this much! I love it so much that I sneak outside in the mornings with a cup of coffee and enjoy a quiet sunrise in front of the fire. It’s incredibly peaceful.

ABSOLUTELY!
We took quite a bit of time to do our research and we finally decided on the Outland Firebowl 870 Fire Pit with Cover & Carry Kit. Our favorite part is the auto-light, it’s just like a BBQ. Easy setup and quick lighting. Jason even adapted the supply hose to run right to our RV so we don’t have to carry extra propane tanks with us.
