KOA Hosts Annual Care Camps Big Weekend: Join the Movement on May 12-13, 2023

We are thrilled to say that next month we will be attending the KOA Cares Big Weekend once again! This annual event, hosted by KOA (Kampgrounds of America), is open to all KOA Rewards Members and aims to raise awareness and funds for the KOA Cares Camps for kids with cancer. This special weekend is dedicated to raising funds for children with cancer, giving them a chance to attend medically-supervised camps and be a kid again.

The camps provide a fun and supportive environment for children struggling with illness, offering them a chance to forget their worries and just enjoy themselves. The KOA Care Camps Trust annually distributes over $1 million dollars to support over 125 Care Camps across North America. To support the cause, KOA offers a special deal every Mother’s Day Weekend - stay Friday night at full price, and receive Saturday night for only $20, with all proceeds going directly to the camps. As a bonus, this is a savings for us of about $70!

The campgrounds that participate across the US and Canada enjoy making the weekend a big deal for moms and for the charitable cause. With lots of activities planned, like pancake breakfasts, kid’s crafts, hay rides, live music, barrel rides, family movie nights, games like horseshoe and basketball, and of course ice cream and pizza - a KOA staple.
